1. Who we are

TRU Installation ("we", "us", "our") is a professional flooring installation contractor serving Los Angeles County and Ventura County, California. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at truinstallation.com and through our services.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact information you give us when you submit our contact form or book a measurement: name, email address, phone number, and any message you send.
  • Service address you provide when booking a measurement visit, so we can come measure your home.
  • Estimate details you input into our online calculator (square footage, type of flooring, add-ons). We may save these to your account if you sign in.
  • Payment metadata from Stripe when you pay a measurement fee — we do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles that.
  • Account information (email address, name) if you sign in with Google.
  • Basic technical information from your browser (IP address, device type, pages visited) for security and analytics.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request.
  • To schedule, perform, and follow up on measurement visits and installations.
  • To process payments through Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, cancellations).
  • To improve our website, calculator, and services.
  • To comply with legal obligations (tax, warranty, licensing).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Service providers

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate our business, including Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (database and authentication), and Google (sign-in). These providers process your information on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure basic site usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; some features (like signing in to view your bookings) won't work without them.

6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep customer records (bookings, estimates, invoices) for as long as needed to support your project warranty and to comply with tax and accounting requirements, typically seven years. Marketing inquiries that don't lead to a project are kept for up to two years.

8. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by California law.

9. Children

Our services are for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
